Is it safe to eat mango while drinking garri?

Some time in the past, I used to hear some rumour that people who ate mango and garri died after doing so. I just want to confirm if it is actually unsafe or not.

Even though you might not want to believe it, his death is purely coincidental with the drinking of garri and mango at the same time......... And to the other guy who says that some mango species reacts toxically with cyanide, that is partially true because to much intake of cyanide itself is toxic so cyanide can actually kill without any reaction with any mango species at all. Remember stay informed 😉
